DESCRIPTION:Celebrating 25 Years of Supporting Local Health Care\nGet ready for the 25th Anniversary of the CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon! \nOn Saturday\, October 17\, 2026\, local hospital foundations will once again come together for a special day of fundraising to support health care close to home. \nThis year\, the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation is raising funds to replace the Medical Vacuum Pump System at Clinton Public Hospital\, with a goal of $36\,000. \nThe medical vacuum system may not be something patients ever see\, but it is an essential\, behind-the-scenes piece of equipment that supports care throughout Clinton Public Hospital. \nThe system provides reliable suction in areas including the Emergency Department\, Operating Rooms and patient care areas. Suction is important for a wide range of care\, including surgical procedures\, endoscopy\, emergency care\, airway management\, and the removal of blood\, fluids and other secretions. \nWhether it is helping a surgical team maintain a clear field during a procedure\, assisting with airway management in an emergency\, or supporting other procedures where suction is required\, reliable medical vacuum is an important part of providing safe and effective patient care. \nOur current system is aging\, frequently needing repair and needs to be replaced. The Clinton Public Hospital Foundation is raising $36\,000 to help fund a new\, more reliable claw-style medical vacuum pump system. \nIt may operate quietly behind the scenes\, but when healthcare providers need suction\, they need to know it will be there and work reliably.
