Today, we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon with CKNX as our partner in fundraising for rural health care throughout Midwestern Ontario.  By 4pm today, Radiothon had raised $506,053.83 for twelve area hospitals, with over $25,000 in donations to Clinton Public Hospital Foundation.  Donations continue to arrive in support of our $54,000 goal for the purchase of two cardiac monitors for CPH and we truly appreciate the tremendous support!

This year’s Radiothon featured heartwarming patient stories, interviews with health care professionals and volunteers, updates from CKNX Roving Reporters who attended events throughout the day, and the announcement of this year’s Story Contest winner.  The Clinton & District Kinsmen Club hosted their annual breakfast at the Libro Hall in Clinton this morning in support of our Radiothon goal.  The Kinsmen prepared 350 take-out breakfasts, which sold out by 10:30am.  Thank you to all those who attended the breakfast!

Clinton Public Hospital Foundation has participated in the CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon since it’s inception in 2002.  Over the past twenty years the event has raised nearly $13 million in support of quality healthcare for area hospitals, having raised more than $640,000 for capital equipment and projects at Clinton Public Hospital.

The Clinton Public Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and staff extend our sincere appreciation to the CKNX team, the Clinton Kinsmen, our volunteers and our donors for making this event such a great success!
