The Brussels Optimist Club was set to host their annual Dinner & Auction on March 14, with proceeds to be donated to four local hospitals and community betterment.  Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event had to be cancelled.  However, the club was committed to supporting their local communities and on April 18, the Brussels Optimist Club donated $24,000 to the following causes; $5,000 each to the Wingham, Listowel, Clinton and Seaforth Hospitals, $2,000 to the Huron County Food Bank, $2,000 to the Jam Jar Pub and Eatery to help them with their ongoing initiative to feed seniors.

“In these trying times, it’s more important now, than ever that we are out supporting our community, with the ongoing crisis we felt it would be a good time to make a splash and do something good for our hospitals and food initiatives. Our club has always done well to respond to the community’s needs and this is just another example of that” said Club President Cole McLean

Thank you to the Brussels Optimist Club for your donation of $5000 to the CPH Foundation and for your continued support of local healthcare!  Your generosity and commitment to your community are truly appreciated!
