Established in 1937, Hensall Co-op stands as one of the largest non-financial cooperatives in Canada, with over 6,000 farm member-owners operating across Canada.

We are thrilled to announce the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation has been awarded $10,000.00 as a co-winner of the 4th annual Hensall Co-op Strong Communities Initiatives grant.

The Hensall Co-op Strong Communities Initiative seeks to provide one-time grants to projects that address critical needs within communities, with a particular focus on initiatives aligned with Community Health and Healthy Living. Grants of $10,000 are awarded to projects completed by not-for-profit entities that are registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as charities and have been in operation for over 12 months.

The money will be used to purchase an Ophthalmic Chair for the Clinton Public Hospital.  This specialized chair will allow patients to receive their post-procedure assessment the day of their cataract procedure as opposed to having to travel to the ophthalmologist’s office several days later.

Hensall Co-op is dedicated to supporting initiatives that make a positive impact on rural communities, and we are extremely grateful for this grant.
