The Royal Canadian Legion, Ontario Provincial Command Branches and Ladies’ Auxiliaries Charitable Foundation accept applications for their equipment grant in April of each year.  These applications are reviewed and organizations are eligible to receive funds for approved projects for two out of every three years.  The Foundation applies for this grant on a regular basis and is very grateful to have received the grant several times.

In 2021 the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, with the assistance of Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance’s recommendation for required capital equipment, submitted a grant application for funding for a new bariatric stretcher for our hospital.  In November, the Foundation received notification that their grant proposal had been approved to receive the $6,817.20 requested in the application.

On Friday, May 13th, Rick Shropshall, President of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #140 – Harry B Miner presented the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation with a cheque in the amount of $6,817.20 to be used to purchase of the bariatric stretcher, which has been purchased and is on site.

The Clinton Public Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and Staff would like to express their sincere gratitude to The Royal Canadian Legion for their generosity with this grant opportunity and their continued support of the Clinton Public Hospital.  Thank you!
