Physician Reception for Central Huron Community

Physician Reception for Central Huron Community

On behalf of the Clinton Family Health Team, Clinton Physicians, Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, and Community of Central Huron, thank you to everyone who came out and attended the Physician Reception on Tuesday, November 5th.  It was a wonderful evening and great to see so many members of our community come out to celebrate the retirement of Dr. Peter Salsbury, and the welcome of Dr. Farzaneh Ebrahimi Fard to the Clinton Family Health Team and Clinton Public Hospital.

Dr. Peter Salsbury started his career in Clinton in 1982, and his contribution to healthcare within the Central Huron Community and beyond, is immeasurable.  He was a family practitioner, emergency room and hospital physician, as well as an anesthetist.  For a small rural community, this unique set of qualifications was a true gift.

Dr. Farzaneh Ebrahimi Fard came to Canada from Iran, to begin a new life with her family.  She also possesses a unique set of skills.  In addition to family medicine, she has a background in general surgery.  Her knowledge and diverse experiences will be of great benefit to the community, the Clinton Family Health Team, and the Clinton Public Hospital

Congratulating remarks were given by Mayor, Jim Ginn; President and CEO of the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, Andrew Williams; Chair of the Clinton Family Health Team and Lead Physician for the Clinton Physicians, Dr. Loretta Seevaratnam; and Chair of the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, Darren Stevenson.

A big thank you to Corrie’s Foodland for donating drinks and creating delicious cakes for the event, and to the Clinton Tim Horton’s for donating the coffee.  Cafe Loco Clinton also did a wonderful job on the charcuterie table.

We wish Dr. Salsbury the very best in his retirement years, and are grateful to Dr. Ebrahimi Fard for choosing the Central Huron Community.
