A New Chapter Begins: Clinton Public Hospital Auxiliary Launches Book Cart Program
The Clinton Public Hospital Auxiliary is thrilled to introduce a brand-new way to bring comfort, connection, and community spirit to the hospital—through the joy of reading.
Located just outside the Gift Shop at Clinton Public Hospital, the newly launched Book Cart Program invites patients, visitors, and staff alike to take a moment for themselves with a good book, a magazine, or even a calming colouring page. Whether you’re passing time during an appointment or just in need of a quiet escape, the book cart offers a small but meaningful way to unwind.
This cozy corner is more than just a place to find reading material—it’s also an opportunity to give back. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated, with all proceeds directly supporting the purchase of capital equipment for Clinton Public Hospital. Every dollar helps enhance patient care and ensure the hospital remains equipped to meet the needs of our community.
The book cart works on a simple “take what you need” basis:
- 📚 Take a book to read and return when you’re done, or
- ❤️ Keep it if it truly speaks to you.
Whether you’re a lifelong bookworm or just looking for something to pass the time, there’s something for everyone—and every page turned helps support local healthcare.
The Clinton Public Hospital Auxiliary extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who supports this initiative, whether through donations, book contributions, or simply spreading the word.
Stop by, pick up a story, and help write a better future for our hospital—one book at a time.

Linda Dunford and Jo-Anne Smail kicked off the Book Cart program by visiting patients at the hospital.
