24th Annual CKNX Healthcare Heroes Radiothon Recap!
What an incredible Radiothon!
We are thrilled to share the results of the 24th Annual CKNX Healthcare Heroes Radiothon and extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated, tuned in, volunteered, or cheered us on.
Because of the generosity of our community, the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation raised a total of $45,217.99, surpassing our goal of $35,706. This incredible support means we can purchase two new Centrella Patient Beds for the inpatient unit at Clinton Public Hospital and fund one much-needed procedural transport stretcher for our Operating Room.
Each Centrella bed costs $17,853 and makes a meaningful difference for both patients and staff. These beds support early deterioration detection, fall and injury prevention, pressure injury management, and clinical efficiency, all of which help our care teams provide safer, more effective care. Our inpatient unit at CPH has 22 beds and cared for 447 patients this past year, providing acute care, complex continuing care, and palliative care with an incredible team of nurses, personal support workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, social workers, and speech-language pathologists. Having reliable, modern equipment is essential to the work they do every day.
The procedural transport stretcher will enhance treatment for patients receiving ambulatory surgery procedures such as endoscopies at CPH, and will be used during a patient’s pre-operative preparations, procedure, and, in the recovery room. The design features of the new stretchers prioritize patient safety and comfort, and promote ease of use for our healthcare professionals. CPH performed 2,147 ambulatory surgery procedures in 2024.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this Radiothon a success. Your support ensures that patients in our community can continue to access safe, high-quality care close to home.
We are so grateful.
