The government does not pay for hospital equipment, therefore donor support is imperative. To ensure our hospital remains as up-to-date as possible, the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation raises funds for essential medical equipment and technology required by our health care providers to diagnose, treat and care for patients living in our rural community.
Funds are raised through our various fundraising events, direct mail appeals like our annual Christmas Campaign, and grants when available. Donations are also made to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation in memoriam, as legacy gifts and bequests, and in honour of major life events and our hospital heroes.
No, we do not decide on the equipment, but we do decide whether we think we can fund it. In conjunction with the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance professionals and key stakeholders, the hospital conducts an extensive capital-planning process annually to prioritize equipment needs. From this process, we receive a list of items and from there we decide what we’ll be able to fund given our fundraising commitments for that year. We try and say yes to all items we are presented.
Yes, you can. While the Hospital has identified priority equipment needs, you may still direct your contribution to a specific program, department or piece of equipment. Please contact the Foundation Office to learn more.
No. The Clinton Public Hospital Foundation respects your privacy and is committed to the protection of your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
To minimize our administrative costs, paper tax receipts are issued for donations of $20 or greater. For online donations, there is no minimum amount to receive a tax receipt.
If you haven’t received your tax receipt within a month of making your donation, please contact the Foundation office. Please be able to provide information about the date your donation was made, the amount of the donation and how it was made (online, cheque, e-transfer etc.)
If you have a story you feel will inspire others about the amazing care you, or a loved one, received at the Clinton Public Hospital, we would love to hear it. Please contact the Foundation office for more information.
